Fritz Landertinger
Friedrich "Fritz" Landertinger (born February 26, 1914 in Krems an der Donau , † January 18, 1943 in Schluesselburg , Leningrad Oblast ) was an Austrian canoeist who at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin in a single kayak over a distance of 10,000 m won the silver medal.
Like the Olympic champion Gregor Hradetzky, Landertinger was a member of the Steiner Rowing Club from 1876. Two Danube promenades in Stein an der Donau and Krems an der Donau bear their names.
