Fritz Manteuffel

Fritz Manteuffel (born January 11, 1875 ; † April 21, 1941 ) was a German gymnast who started for Germany at the Olympic Summer Games in 1896 as a gymnast in the disciplines parallel bars, horizontal bar, horse jump and pommel horse. His exact results are not known, but he did not achieve a medal in the individual competitions. Together with the other German gymnasts, he achieved two gold medals in the bars team and high bar team. At the Summer Olympics in 1900 he went back to gymnastics , this time there was only the gymnastics all-around, in which he reached a total of 223 points and thus landed on 72nd place out of 135 participants. He was also the sixth best German in gymnastics all-around.
