Fritz Runge (politician)

Fritz Runge (born June 3, 1901 in Konradsthal ; † October 23, 1990 in Bischofswiesen ) was a social democratic politician.

Runge's father was a miner who he lost early in an underground accident. His mother had to support her four children as a farm worker. She took her children to numerous party events of the Social Democrats, among others with August Bebel and Rosa Luxemburg . In 1913 the family moved to Moers in the Rhineland . Runge was indicted in the "bread trial" during the Nazi era. In 1946 and 1947 he was a member of the Appointed Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia .
