Fritz Trucksäß

Fritz Trucksäß (born October 25, 1874 ; †) was a German mechanical engineer and entrepreneur.

Career

Trucksäß studied at the higher mechanical engineering school in Stuttgart and at the Technical University of Charlottenburg . He then joined the turbine and paper machine manufacturer Voith in Heidenheim and later joined the W. Stohrer machine factory in Leonberg . After the death of the company founder Wilhelm Stohrer , he took over the management of the company together with Robert Stohrer and Martin Meßner in 1904 and eventually became its co-owner.

He pushed the conversion of the product range from agricultural machinery to a specialization for slaughterhouse facilities. On numerous trips abroad, he was able to land export orders, such as setting up the slaughterhouse in Amsterdam. By 1959 the number of employees grew from 30 to 289.
