Fritz Weber (politician, 1894)

Fritz Weber (born December 14, 1894 in Rathenow ; † August 30, 1944 in Neuengamme concentration camp ) was a member of the state parliament in the Free City of Danzig ( SPD Danzig ).

Fritz Weber learned the profession of technician after elementary school . He was married and initially worked as a technician, draftsman and laboratory assistant. Until 1918 he was an optician, most recently a manager.

He joined the SPD and was chairman of the Berlin youth organization from 1917 to 1918 and a member of the Central Office for Working Youth in Germany. From September 1918 to August 1920 he was a union and party employee in Danzig. From August 1920 until the newspaper was banned in September 1936, he was editor of the “Volksstimme” in Danzig.

He was for his party from 1924 to 1927 a member of the Gdansk city citizenship and from 1927 to 1936 a member of the People's Day . After 1936 he worked in Lübeck.

In August 1944 he was arrested as part of the grating action . He was held by the National Socialists in Neuengamme concentration camp and murdered there.
