Froschgrün is a district of the town of Naila in the Hof district in Bavaria.

history

The manor of Hanns von Dobenck, mentioned in 1483, was owned by the von Reitzenstein family from 1500 to 1795 . This was followed as the owner by Freiherr von Stainlein and in 1828 by Freiherr von Andrian, whose 1st class patrimonial court , which existed from 1818 to 1848, included the hamlet of Schneckengrün with 22 inhabitants in addition to the village of Froschgrün with 280 inhabitants (as of 1875).

The rural community of Froschgrün, founded in 1818, was incorporated into the city of Naila in 1920. In 1925 the town of Naila bought the Froschgrün estate. The manor has gone, but the park has been preserved. Subsequently, settlements were built by the city in Froschgrün.

Good frog green

The manor Froschgrün from the 15th century burned down in 1634. This was followed by the construction of a new building as an early modern manor . It was a two-story, plastered, massive half-hipped roof building.
