Fruängen is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Fruängen district of the same name . The station is served by the Röda linjen of the Stockholm metro system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. 7,000 commuters get on here on a normal working day.
The station was put into operation on April 5, 1964, when the first section of the Röda linjen between T-Centralen and Fruängen was inaugurated. The station has two above-ground tracks and is 47 meters above sea level, making it the highest station in the Tunnelbana. The station is the terminus of line T14 of Röda linjen. It is around 8.5 kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
