Fructification
The fructification ( Latin frúctus 'fruit' and fácere 'form') or fruit formation is the formation of seeds and fruits of manageable plants. In mosses , sporangia form , in fungi it is the fruiting bodies . In mycology , the term is also used as a general term for compact, fungal structures such as conidiomata , stroma of ascocarpies , but also plasmodiocarpies of slime molds . If a tree is fructified every year, it is called a fattening year .
