Heinrich Dörfelt

Heinrich Dörfelt (born November 20, 1940 in Reichenbach in Vogtland ) is a German mycologist and botanist . Its botanical author abbreviation is " Dörfelt ".

Life

Dörfelt trained as a gardener from 1954 to 1957 and was trained as a teacher from 1961 to 1964. He then studied biology from 1966 to 1973 at the universities in Greifswald and Halle . In the latter, he received his doctorate in 1974 at the natural science faculty and he completed his habilitation there in 1984. After he had a job as a research assistant at the University of Halle until 1988, Dörfelt worked from 1988 at the Central Institute for Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR in Jena . In 1991 he moved to the university there and from 1997 was a university lecturer for landscape ecology and nature conservation. Dörfelt's main research areas are mushroom ecology and systematics as well as the history of mycology.
