Fryske Akademy
The Fryske Akademy (German: Frisian Academy ) is a scientific institution founded in 1938 for the study of the Frisian language , history and culture. It is based in Leeuwarden in the Netherlands .

activities
The Frisian Academy has been part of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Sciences since 1990 . The academy houses the Mercator European Research Center on Multilingualism and Language Learning / Documents and gives under the title It Beaken (Die Boje). Tydskrift fan de Fryske Akademy published a scientific journal (current volume 81, 2019).
