Fumio Ōtsubo

Fumio Ōtsubo Japanese 大坪 文 雄 Ōtsubo Fumio (born September 5, 1945 ) is a Japanese manager and chairman of the board of directors of Panasonic Corporation .

Life

Ōtsubo studied mechanical engineering at Kansai University in Osaka until 1971 . He then joined Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. ( Panasonic Corporation since 2008 ) in April 1971 . In 1989 he became Managing Director of Matsushita Electronics Singapore and was President of the Audio and Video Sector (Panasonic AVC) from 2002 to 2006. He was initially Senior Managing Director and President of Panasonic Corporation from 2006 to 2012, and was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors on June 27, 2012. He has been working as a special advisor for Panasonic since 2013 and became external director of Teijin Ltd. in June 2016 . appointed.
