Scheel Killie ( Fundulopanchax scheeli Aphyosemion scheeli ) is from the rainforest - and gallery forest streams Nigeria originating killifish .

The colorful animals reach a maximum length of up to 6 cm.

The animals are easily suitable for keeping in the aquarium , preferably in a species tank. Like most members of the genus Fundulopanchax , the animals prefer soft, slightly acidic water. Breeding successes can be achieved even when kept in very small tanks. The fish are plant spawners, a peat base is not required for breeding. The fry hatch after three weeks. However, some juvenile fish are eaten by their siblings when they are started continuously (preferably the slower-growing and smaller females). When keeping them in smaller aquariums, the young fish must therefore be separated.
