Funing County ( Chinese  抚宁县 , Pinyin Fǔníng Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Qinhuangdao (秦皇岛 市) in the Chinese province of Hebei . It has an area of ​​1,646 km² and has a population of around 510,000 (2003). Its main town is the large community of Funing (抚宁 镇).
