Funing County ( Chinese  阜宁县 , Pinyin Fùníng Xiàn ) is a county in the Chinese province of Jiangsu . It belongs to the county-free city of Yancheng . It has an area of ​​1,439 square kilometers and a population of 1,066,700 (2004). Its main town is the large community of Fucheng ( 阜 城镇 ).
