The Furlong Creek is a 2.6 km long glacial meltwater river in the Taylor Valley of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows from the Howard Glacier to the Delta Stream . The Spaulding Pond is on his way.

It got its name at the suggestion of the American hydrologist Diane Marie McKnight, head of the team of the United States Geological Survey , which examined the river system of Lake Fryxell between 1987 and 1994 . It is named after the hydrologist Edward Furlong, who was involved in these research activities.
