Further Seems Forever is an alternative rock / emo band founded in Florida in 1998 . In 2006 the band announced their breakup. Since August 2010 there has been a reunion with the original line-up.

Band history

The group was founded in 1998 by members of the recently disbanded Christian hardcore band Strongarm in Pompano Beach . Chris Carrabba , who had previously been active in a band called The Vacant Andys , was brought in as singer . The band's first releases in 1999 were a sampler contribution to the Deep Elm compilation Emo Diaries IV and the EP From the 27th State , which was released by Takehold Records [now: Fast Friday].

With The Moon is Down followed in 2001 the first album as the two successor at Tooth & Nail was released. In the same year singer Carrabba left the band to concentrate on his band Dashboard Confessional, which had started as a solo project . He was replaced by Jason Gleason; In addition, the guitarist Nick Dominguez had to be replaced, Derick Cordoba came to the band for him. In 2003 the album How to Start a Fire was recorded with this line-up , with which the group reached number 133 in the US album charts. The following year, the band split in a dispute during the recording of Gleason's third album, who was replaced by Jon Bunch from the group Sense Field . With this, the album was finally recorded, the work entitled Hide Nothing was able to place itself like its predecessor in the US charts, where it reached number 122. On June 17, 2006 the band played their last concert in Atlanta for the time being .

On August 24, 2011, the band announced via video that a reunion with the original line-up is planned for 2011. The first appearance took place at the Belgian GROEZROCK festival, where Dashboard Confessional also performed.
