The Furufjörður ( Icelandic Kiefernfjord ) is a fjord in the Westfjords in Iceland .
It is located in Hornstrandir between the bay Bolungavík and Þaralátursfjörður in the east. The fjord extends 3.5 km into the country and is up to 3 km wide. There were three farms in the fjord: Árnabær, not far from the chapel, Smiðjuvík and Vagnsbær. They were inhabited until 1950, now there are still some summer houses, a small chapel with a cemetery and a rescue hut. From Furufjörður it is only 6 km (as the crow flies) to the west to Hrafnsfjörður in Jökulfirðir . There is a slope over the Skorarheiði. The piste has no connection to the rest of the road network and is said to have been busy at the time.
