Future trance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Future Trance is a music compilation for electronic dance music by the Universal Music Group that has been released every quarter since March 1997 .

history

A compilation Future Trance Trax was released in 1995, but it does not belong to the Future Trance series. To date, 91 regular issues of Future Trance and 6 special compilations have been published. Up to Future Trance 60, a compilation contained two CDs with an average of around 40 songs, which were often edits . Since Future Trance 61, one issue of Future Trance contains three CDs with a total of around 60 titles. The third CD is often a continuous mix without interruptions between the individual tracks.

So far, around 1,300 artists with around 2,300 pieces of music have been represented in the compilations. ATB and Scooter are particularly often involved with more than 20 songs. Typical of Future Trance is the computer alien FT 3000 , which first appeared on the cover of Future Trance 10 (another computer alien head was already shown on Future Trance 5), which was continued until Future Trance 60.

Trance music in the true sense of the word is rarely or not at all on the Future Trance, so that fans of the trance genre are often mistaken for fans of the hands-up or house genre.
