Géant Casino
The Géant Group is a French retail chain based in Saint-Étienne .
Géant has 127 hypermarché stores in France , making it the second largest provider in this segment after Carrefour . The shops each have a sales area of at least 7000 m² and offer a wide range of food and non-food. The focus of the business is on the French national market. Subsidiaries in Lebanon , Taiwan , Uruguay and other countries round off the international business.
The first store under the Géant brand opened in Marseille in 1970 . When it opened, it was the largest hypermarket in France. Jean Duboc is the manager of Géant.
Parent company
Géant is part of the listed Groupe Casino . Groupe Casino (listed in the CAC Mid 60 ) has operated retail stores under various brand names since 1898.
