Gîtes de France [ ʒit dəˈfʁɑ̃s ], officially the Fédération Nationale des Gîtes de France , is a French tourism organization. It arranges holiday homes that are close to the landlord's house, are mostly furnished and have their own kitchen. Gîtes de France is the market leader in its field.

The organization is based on association law under the law of July 1, 1901 and can offer around 58,000 accommodations. It compiles catalogs for numerous regions. There is a classification according to comfort (from one to five ears of corn ). The organization was founded in 1955. In 1974 their headquarters were opened in Paris , the Maison du Tourisme Vert ( House of Green Tourism ). It has been possible to book via Minitel since 1987, and its own portal has existed since 1998. Particularly high-quality accommodations have been marketed under the Charme brand since 2008 . Since 2011 there have been booking options via Android and iPhone .

The organization has around 600 employees and is represented in 95 departments . You work with 44,000 owners. 35 million vacation days are arranged, generating 450 million euros in sales. 80 percent of customers come from France.
