The Validlinger See is a small reservoir and formerly a popular bathing lake north of Validlingen in the district of Calw .

In 1979/1980 the lake was created as part of a land consolidation measure and quickly developed into a popular bathing lake in a region that is naturally poor in larger still waters. The lake was originally almost 250 meters long and between 50 and 80 meters wide. Its original area was around 1.5 hectares. Occasionally the lake was also used by the special forces command from Calw for training purposes for the Bundeswehr .

From 1996 the water volume of the lake decreased again and again. The reason were cracks in the dam wall. Several attempts, ultimately unsuccessful, were made to repair the dam. Today the lake presents itself as a small pond. Bathing is now officially prohibited.
