Günter Birkner
Günter Birkner (born August 7, 1925 , † June 14, 2001 ) was a Swiss musicologist .
Birkner received his doctorate and headed the music department of the Zurich Central Library . He published writings on composers; he dealt particularly with Wilhelm Furtwängler .
