Günter Boeser

Günter Boeser (born February 26, 1933 ) is a German sports shooter.

He became a member of the shooting club 1927 Nussloch e. V. developed into a world-wide known shooter of special, non-Olympic shooting styles, who caused a sensation due to his versatility in the most diverse shooting styles as well as through the use of special weapons. In competitions he shot both with rifles of various kinds (e.g. muzzle-loaders, flintlock rifles, black powder rifles, rifles with matchlocks) and with pistols and that also in a wide variety of shooting positions (standing, kneeling) and in various shooting disciplines (skeet, trap, target ).

Boeser is a master butcher by profession and lives in Bruchsal .

In 1995, he was first national champion in matchlock -Schießen. Then he succeeded for the first time to win a world title, namely that in gunpowder shooting. At the same time he set a new world record. He set another world record in 1996, also in shooting with the black powder rifle, in which he improved the record by four rings. Also in 1998 he became world champion in gunpowder shooting. He also won a gold medal over 50 m with the matchlock rifle and also set a world record with 97 out of 100 rings. He won another gold medal in the 100 m team shooting with the service rifle. 2 silver medals (25 m flintlock pistol, 100 m flintlock rifle) completed his successful series.

For his success in shooting sports, he received the Silver Laurel Leaf on February 23, 2000 .
