Günter Kößl

Günter Kößl (born September 24, 1950 in Neufurth , Amstetten ) is an Austrian police officer, politician ( ÖVP ) and member of the National Council .

education and profession

Günter Kößl attended elementary school from 1956 and secondary school from 1960. He then learned the trade of machine fitter in the Böhler-Ybbstalwerke from 1964 to 1968 and did military service in 1968. After completing his military service as a pioneer and weapon master's assistant in the Biragokaserne Melk , Kößl came to the Vienna Security Guard in 1969 , where he attended the police school from 1969 to 1971. In 1973 he moved from the Vienna Security Guard to the State Gendarmerie Command for Lower Austria , where he was assigned to the St. Valentin post . In 1977 he passed the civil service promotion test. From 1980 to 1982 Kößl also taught at the Gendarmerie Zentralschule Mödling . Later Kößl moved to the gendarmerie post (from July 2005: police inspection ) Ulmerfeld, which he headed until 2007 as post commander (from July 2005: police inspection commander).

politics

Günter Kößl was a member of the Amstetten municipal council from 1985 to 1990 and a city councilor from 1990 to 2000. Since 2000 he has been Vice Mayor of the municipality. In 2001 Kößl was also elected city party chairman of the ÖVP Amstetten.

Since October 29, 1999, Kößl has been a member of the National Council and the XXIII. Legislative period Deputy Chairman in the Committee on Internal Affairs, the Incompatibility Committee and the Standing Subcommittee of the Committee on Internal Affairs.

Private

Günter Kößl was born the son of a carpenter and a housewife. He has a brother and grew up in a modest family. Günter Kößl has been married since 1972 and has three daughters.
