Günter Koch (theologian)

Günter Koch (born December 1, 1931 in Darmstadt ) is a German Catholic theologian.

Koch first studied philosophy and classical philology in Erlangen, Heidelberg and Freiburg i. Br. 1958 the doctorate to Dr. phil. with Max Müller. He then studied Catholic theology in Frankfurt / St. Georgen and Würzburg. In 1963 Fritz Hofmann received his doctorate as Dr. theol. In 1973 he received his habilitation. From 1977 to 1999 he was director of the cathedral school in Würzburg . Since 1980 he has been an adjunct professor for dogmatics and the history of dogma at the theological faculty of the University of Würzburg .
