Günter Neugebauer (born June 13, 1948 in Rendsburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After completing secondary school , Neugebauer joined the state finance administration of Schleswig-Holstein. In 1971 he passed the exam for the senior service and worked from then until his election to the Schleswig-Holstein Landtag in 1979 as a certified financial economist, auditor and tax officer.

From June 2009 to June 2010, Neugebauer was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Coop eG . Since 2014 spokesman for the regional Schleswig-Holstein working group of Gegen Vergessen - For Democracy .

Günter Neugebauer is married and has one child.

Political party

Neugebauer joined the SPD in 1969 and was initially involved with the Jusos , whose district executive in Rendsburg-Eckernförde he was a member from 1972 to 1973. From 1973 to 1982 he was chairman of the local SPD association in Rendsburg. After serving on the SPD district executive from 1973 to 1974, Neugebauer was chairman of the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district association from 1982 to 1990. From 1982 to 1984 he was chairman of the SPD regional working group on urban development and housing policy.

From 1974 to June 1988 Günter Neugebauer was a member of the Rendsburg council.

From 1979 to 2009 he was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein . From 1983 to 1987, from 1988 to 1992 and from 1996 to 2000 he was a member of the board of the SPD parliamentary group. From 2005 to 2009 Neugebauer was chairman of the finance committee, the budget audit working group and the sub-committee of the finance committee for corporate investments in the state.

Günter Neugebauer has always entered the state parliament as a directly elected member of the Rendsburg constituency . In the state elections in 2005 he achieved 42.0% of the first votes .

Public offices

From 1974 to 1982 Neugebauer was an honorary senator for the city of Rendsburg. From May 31, 1988 to April 23, 1996 he was parliamentary representative of the Minister for Economics, Technology and Transport of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.

Volunteering

Günter Neugebauer is a member of the Association Against Forgetting - For Democracy eV and spokesman for the Schleswig-Holstein State Working Group. He is a member of the ver.di union . He is a member of the board of the Rendsburg Society for City and District History.

In 2019 Günter Neugebauer was awarded the Alexander Longolius plaque of the Association Partnership of Parliaments in "Appreciation of his life's work for the maintenance and further development of transatlantic relations". Neugebauer co-founded the association in 1983 together with 11 other members of German state parliaments.
