Günter Sopper

Günter Sopper (* 1948 in Fürstenfeld ) is an Austrian musician, poet, composer and conductor. He has lived as a musician in Germany since 1975. Sopper appears as a conductor, instrumental and song accompanist as well as a cabaret artist and improviser, alone and in various line-ups. He is a composer of stage music, chansons, songs, chamber and orchestral music.

Career

Sopper was musical director at the Landestheater Tübingen (LTT) from 1984 to 1988 . Since then he has been an elective Tübinger. From 1989 to 2011 Sopper taught piano, accordion and composition at the Nagold Music School . In 2002 he wrote the music for “The Life of Galilei” at the LTT and for “The Piggy Bank” at the Lindenhof Theater in Melchingen. In 2003 the "Reintonations" were premiered. The poetry performance “durch dickicht rätsel thorn und röschen” is produced. The volume of poetry "thru thicket riddle thorn and rose" will be published in 2004.
