Günter Stelljes

Günter Stelljes (born February 21, 1926 in Grohn near Bremen ; † September 10, 2015 in Bremen) was a German politician ( SPD ) in Bremen. He was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

education and profession

Günter Stelljes completed an apprenticeship as a machine fitter from 1940 to 1943 and worked in this profession. From 1944 to 1945 he served as a soldier in World War II . From 1945 to 1948 he worked for the US occupation forces in Bremen. From 1948 to 1972 he worked as a machine fitter and then as a technical employee in Bremen.

politics

Stelljes had been a member of the NSDAP since April 1944 . In 1948 he was denazified as not affected .
After the war he became a member of the SPD.

From 1975 to 1991 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship for around 16 years and worked in various deputations and committees of the citizenship.
