Günter Tamme

Günter Tamme (born May 12, 1937 in Bautzen ) is a German mathematician who deals with algebraic geometry, arithmetic algebraic geometry and algebraic number theory.

Tamme received his doctorate in 1967 at the University of Hamburg under Helmut Hasse ( The structure of algebraic function bodies of gender 2 with decaying multiplier algebra ). He is emeritus at the University of Regensburg .

Tamme also deals with local history, he has been chairman of the history group of the Weltenburg Academy since 1994.
