Günther Bauer (born January 6, 1972 in Schleching ) is a German motorcycle ice speedway racer.

Live and act

Through skijoring, motocross and kart racing, Bauer came to ice speedway racing through a friend in 1990 and quickly rose to the top. As early as 1994 he won the bronze medal at the Team World Championships with the German ice speedway team. In the 1990s, Bauer was already in the individual World Championship finals, took part in the Ice Speedway World Championship Grand Prix racing series and won his first German Ice Speedway Championship in 2000.

In 2002, Bauer won his first Ice Speedway World Championship Grand Prix and the following year, his greatest success to date, he won the Vice World Championship at the Ice Speedway Individual World Championship. Bauer's ice speedway season lasts annually from October through April, begins with training in Sweden and Finland and continues with season preparation races on the Russian / Chinese border in the Amur region, before the World Championships in February and March - and DM decisions are pending. The Inzell GP is his home race.
