Günther Sell is a former German soccer player .

Career

Sell ​​started his career at the Hamburg club Eimsbütteler TV . In 1942, the Eimsbütteler champions of the Gauliga Nordmark and failed in the final round of the German championship in the round of 16 at Werder Bremen . After the end of the war , Sell rose to Eimsbüttel in 1948 in what was then the first-class Oberliga Nord . Sell ​​played for Eimsbüttel for three years before joining the then second division Arminia Bielefeld in 1951 , for whom he scored five goals in 30 games.

After just one year at Arminia, Sell moved to 1. SC Göttingen 05 , for which he scored a goal in nine league games. Finally, Sell returned to Eimsbüttel TV in 1953. In 1956, the ETV rose from the Oberliga Nord and Sell ended his career. Sell ​​completed 22 goals in 128 league games for ETV.
