Günther Sell is a former German soccer player .
Career
Sell started his career at the Hamburg club Eimsbütteler TV . In 1942, the Eimsbütteler champions of the Gauliga Nordmark and failed in the final round of the German championship in the round of 16 at Werder Bremen . After the end of the war , Sell rose to Eimsbüttel in 1948 in what was then the first-class Oberliga Nord . Sell played for Eimsbüttel for three years before joining the then second division Arminia Bielefeld in 1951 , for whom he scored five goals in 30 games.
After just one year at Arminia, Sell moved to 1. SC Göttingen 05 , for which he scored a goal in nine league games. Finally, Sell returned to Eimsbüttel TV in 1953. In 1956, the ETV rose from the Oberliga Nord and Sell ended his career. Sell completed 22 goals in 128 league games for ETV.
