Günther Voellner

Günther Voellner (* 1910 in Rostock ; † 1999 in Waldshut-Tiengen ) was a German teacher , painter , draftsman and graphic artist .

Life

After school and youth in Gdansk , he studied at the Königsberg Art Academy and the Berlin Art Academy , where he was a student of Willy Jaeckel and Rudolf Großmann . From 1939 he worked as an art teacher in Gdansk. Soldier from 1939 to 1945. 1945 Loss of all works created up to then. Then a new start in Eckernförde . From 1974 he lived with his wife of the artist, Liselotte Voellner-Gallus in Tiengen. He made numerous study trips in Europe, especially in France but also in the USA to Africa and Asia. He was a member of the international artist group Polygon and the International Lake Constance Club. His pictures can be found in museums in Gdansk and Flensburg. He held series of lectures on art, took on art tours and taught in the Tiengen Malkreis. He was also active in writing, in addition to newspaper articles he also wrote poems.
