The Grube Güte Gottes (formerly Eselsberg ) was an ore mine near Bruchertseifen in the Altenkirchen district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

history

The mine was already in operation in the 17th century. Coarse galena, copper pebbles, zinc blende and siderite were extracted. The upper lug mounted 45 m, the depth of lugs 70 m depth a. The mine was re-lent on September 26, 1836 and February 11, 1837. In 1874 the mine came to the Nistertaler Erzbergwerke Gesellschaft . The mine had its highest production rates in the years 1881 to 1885. In 1881 260 tons of lead ore, 5 tons of zinc ore and 153 tons of spate iron stone were mined, in 1884 20 tons of lead ore and 50 tons of zinc ore were mined. In 1885 civil engineering levels were laid every 20 m down to a depth of 100 m (i.e. a total of 5 levels). About the 5th excavation level, Wolf reports that due to heavy water ingress, further dewatering using a hand pump is too expensive in the long run. In 1901 the mine went bankrupt and in 1910 it was closed for good. In 2010, the outflow of pit water from the deep tunnel was examined to estimate geothermal potential uses.

Aisle means

The deposit consisted of two NS-trending veins that dipped westward. The lying corridor was 1 to 3 m thick. The silver content was 80–100 g per 100 kg of ore; the lead content between 50-50%.
