GLS-United was a German rap group that only recorded one song.
Career
It reached number 49 in the German single charts with the title Rapper's Deutsch in April 1980 . It is a parody cover version of the famous hit Rapper's Delight by the American hip-hop band Sugarhill Gang .
GLS-United consisted of Thomas Gottschalk , Frank Laufenberg and Manfred Sexauer . The first part of your project name results from the first letters of the surname. The three performers carry out a generation conflict in the song : Laufenberg tells which bands and singers were popular in the 1960s and what memories he has of that time. Sexauer then raves about the 1950s , whereas Gottschalk ultimately prefers the music that was current at the time.
Rapper's Deutsch is considered the first German-language rap song. It was founded by Harold Faltermeyer produced . The German text comes from Horst Mittmann and Michael Bollinger.
