Manfred Sexauer

Manfred Sexauer (born August 2, 1930 in Baden-Baden , † July 20, 2014 in Saarbrücken ) was a German radio and television presenter.

Moderator

After graduating from high school, Manfred Sexauer trained as an actor and then worked on the stages in Baden-Baden , Freiburg and the Karlsruhe Chamber Theater . In 1964 he finally went to the Saarländischer Rundfunk as a presenter . From 1965 he presented the popular program Hallo Twen on SR 1 Europawelle , which ran from Monday to Friday at 6:05 p.m. and presented beat, rock and blue titles from England and the USA, which was still unusual on German radio. Sexauer developed Disco Top Ten in 1975 and Show-Mix in 1992 , programs with which he collected donations totaling around 4 million euros for the benefit of SOS Children's Villages . He was also a frequent moderator of the ARD night programs ARD night express and ARD radio alarm clock .

Sexauer became known on television through music stores . From 1984 to 2003 he led the award ceremonies of the German television award Goldene Europa .

Since March 2007 Sexauer was with his series The stay Hits live on Radio Melodie 102.7 FM from Sarreguemines and RMNradio .com heard. From October to December 2013 he was also one of the moderators of the Internet radio PopStop - Das Musikradio .

Singer

Together with Thomas Gottschalk and Frank Laufenberg he formed the music group GLS-United . With the piece Rapper's Deutsch  - a German-language cover version of Rapper's Delight  - they landed at number 49 on the German hit parade in April 1980. In 2010 he released the single Nights in White Satin with the group decanto .

Awards

Manfred Sexauer was from 1989 bearer of the Saarland Order of Merit . For his efforts to support the SOS Children's Villages, he was awarded the Golden Badge of Honor of the SOS Children's Villages and, in 2000, the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .

The media women awarded Sexauer the Consolation Prize of Sauren Gurke in 1981 for his tireless emphasis on female virtues in music stores .

death

Manfred Sexauer died at the age of 83 in a clinic in Saarbrücken. He was buried in the cemetery in the Saarbrücken district of Güdingen , where he lived with his wife Rita until the end.
