G1 is a Brazilian Internet newspaper that the Grupo Globo heard and went online on 18 September, 2006.

In addition to its own reports in text, photo, audio and video format, the news portal publishes journalistic content from the media group, including from the newspapers O Globo , Extra , Expresso , Valor Econômico , Época and from the TV network Rede Globo as well as radio and news programs such as Central Brasileira de Notícias (CBN), Globo Rural and Globo News .

G1 has five own newsrooms in the state capitals Rio de Janeiro , São Paulo , Belo Horizonte and Recife as well as the federal capital Brasília .

Versions in English and Spanish were released on June 11, 2010, these contain videos with bilingual subtitles.

G1 also has a mobile version and applications for Android and iOS .
