GAC Gonow Automobile was a manufacturer of automobiles from the People's Republic of China .
Company history
The Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group and Zhejiang Gonow Holdings Group in 2010 founded the joint venture. The Guangzhou Group held 51% of the shares and the Zhejiang Group 49%. The seat is in Hangzhou . The production of the vehicles of the previous company Zhejiang Gonow Automobile continued while retaining the brand name.
In February 2016, the last vehicles of the own brand name were registered in China. 2016, the Guangzhou group announced its intention to buy up the remaining shares to the factory for the production of easy to sell cars of its own brand GAC the sub-brand GAC Trumpchi to use. The takeover took place in March 2016. A possible bankruptcy was reported in June 2016 .
It is unclear whether the company still exists.
