GE Real Estate (GE RE) is a real estate management company in the GE Commercial Finance division of the American General Electric Company, one of the world's top-selling conglomerates . GE Real Estate's CEO is Ron Pressman .

GE Real Estate was founded in 1972 and is very active in 34 countries, particularly in the United States and Canada , but also in Europe , China and Japan . The company, based in Norwalk, Connecticut, manages a real estate portfolio of around 30 billion euros worldwide.

GE Real Estate operates corporate real estate management (CREM).

GE Real Estate Europe

GE Real Estate Europe is led by Mark Hutchinson. It is active in Scandinavia , Spain , Italy , but also in Germany .

  • On May 3, 2006, GE RE Iberia acquired 32 supermarkets, 5 cash-and-carry supermarkets and 3 logistics centers for 75 million euros. [2]
  • GE RE Nordic took over a 23,000 m² building site near Borås in Sweden on April 3, 2006 for approx. 200 million SEK. [3]
  • GE RE Germany has taken over the HPE Hausbau Group from Peabody Funds for EUR 190 million. HPE is a real estate investment and management company with 80 employees primarily in Berlin and Ludwigshafen. It owns 4,400 residential units in ten cities along the Rhine and in Berlin. HPE also manages 3,000 residential units. [4]
  • GE RE Germany has acquired 12 hospital properties worth 100 million euros. The 12 properties with around 1,500 beds are being leased back for 25 years by Marseille-Kliniken AG in a sale-lease-back transaction. [5]
  • GE RE Germany has taken over 12 office properties from the iii real estate fund for EUR 420 million.
