GKrellM (abbreviation for GNU / GTK Krell Monitors / Meters) is free software that can display various information about a computer system. A number of operating systems are supported.

The name is inspired by the movie " Alarm in Space ", where the Krell are the natives of the planet Altair IV.

A large amount of information can be displayed: temperature, CPU and memory usage, volume, Internet connections and traffic, hard disk usage, e-mails, battery level, etc. a. The software can be expanded with plug-ins .

It is not only possible to display information about the local computer, but also about a remote computer, provided GKrellM is running there (as a daemon ).
