The GRN-Klinik Schwetzingen is a facility for basic and standard medical care in Schwetzingen . It is the successor institution of the Schwetzingen district hospital. Today the Rhein-Neckar health center clinic group is responsible for this . The hospital is the academic teaching hospital of the University of Heidelberg .

history

In mid-1974 the first patients from the city hospital were transferred to the new Schwetzingen district hospital. The hospital has been part of the Rhein-Neckar health center since 2006 and was renamed GRN-Klinik Schwetzingen in 2010.

Facility

277 patient beds are available in 10 specialist departments. The number of employees is 800. More than 12,000 inpatients and 16,000 outpatients are treated annually. In addition to the collaboration with the University of Heidelberg, collaborations with the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NTC) and the Psychiatric Center North Baden (PZN) in Wiesloch are maintained.
