GSAT-18 is a commercial communications satellite of the Indian ISRO of the GSAT series.

It was placed in geostationary orbit on October 5, 2016 at 20:30 UTC with an Ariane 5 launcher from the Kourou rocket launch site (together with Sky Muster II ) .

The three-axis stabilized satellite with 12 Ku-band -, 12 Extended Ku-band, Ku-band two beacons, and 24 C-band - transponders equipped and will supply from the position 74 degrees East India with telecommunications services. It was built on the basis of the ISRO I3K satellite bus and has a planned service life of more than 12 years.
