GSC Game World is a Ukrainian computer game manufacturer.
The studio was founded in 1995 in Kiev. Until 1997, GSC was engaged in the creation of multimedia encyclopedias that were popular in Ukraine and Russia. The company has been involved in game technology and computer game development since 1997. The first game, Warcraft2000 , was a non-commercial project. The first commercial project was the real-time strategy game Cossacks . Most recently, GSC worked on four other projects. On April 26, 2012 it was announced that the studio had dissolved and is now working on further projects as Vostok Games . Most recently, the studio worked on STALKER 2, which had to be discontinued due to funding problems and disagreements with the rights holder of the STALKER brand. The official reopening of GSC took place in December 2014. The first project after this is a remake of the game Cossacks with the title "Cossacks 3", which was released on September 20, 2016. In May 2018 the studio announced the discontinued STALKER 2. A publication of the title was specified for the year 2021.

In the past, GSC Game World ran its own esports clan with players from Ukraine, the so-called GSC Pro Team . This was founded in the middle of 2003, at a time when sponsorship in e-sports was not yet widespread. At the beginning of 2005, however, the project was discontinued, probably because the funds available were no longer sufficient to maintain the leading position nationally.
During its existence, GSC was considered the most successful Ukrainian clan and represented the nation at numerous international competitions such as the World Cyber Games 2004 and the CPL Summer 2004 . There were sections for the computer games Counter-Strike, Warcraft III, Starcraft and Unreal Tournament 2004. Among the most prominent former GSC players are the Warcraft III player Mychajlo "HoT" Nowopaschyn and the UT2004 player Roman "Chip" Verenko.
