The German Horticultural and Silesian Trade Exhibition ( GUGALI ) was a horticultural exhibition that took place from June 25 to October 2, 1927 in the Lower Silesian city of Liegnitz . Due to the fact that it was widely respected at that time, it is regarded as one of the forerunners of the three Reich Garden Shows and today's federal garden shows .

The design of the area on the Bergerwiese in the southern city park of Liegnitz was entrusted to the garden architect Gustav Allinger , who had already designed the overall plan for the anniversary horticultural exhibition in Dresden the year before . The buildings were built according to plans by the Liegnitz architect Robert Günther . Wroclaw architects Hans Scharoun and Moritz Hadda created the design for the model houses surrounded by gardens .

The attractions of the exhibition included the rose island, a warm water pond and the so-called water art (a large rectangular pool with 65 small fountains and an illuminated large fountain in the middle).
