G was a German magazine of the architectural and artistic avant-garde that was published irregularly in Berlin in 1923 and 1924 . The title G was derived from the word " design ". Only six issues have appeared in total.

The magazine was published by Hans Richter . In G the texts and representations of the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe , Ludwig Hilberseimer , El Lissitzky , Theo van Doesburg , Hans Arp , Piet Mondrian , George Grosz , Tristan Tzara , Man Ray and Kurt Schwitters appeared . Despite its small circulation and short publication time, the magazine has played an important role in the development of modern architecture . She has published projects, image reproductions and radical critical contributions that proclaimed a revolution in art and architecture. Their special significance lay in the presentation of the glass skyscrapers of Mies van der Rohe and in his text on industrial construction.

The first two issues were printed on large format newsprint . The following editions appeared as small-format booklets. Characteristic of G was its graphic, which was very conspicuous at the time; only sans serif fonts were used.
