Gabriel Iloabuchi Agu (born June 15, 1985 in Lagos ) is a Nigerian soccer player and beach soccer player.

Career

Agu began his professional career in 2005 with the Nigerian Ports Authority FC of Warri, where he became a top scorer. After only one season, he left NPA Lagos for Kwara United , where he became a top performer straight away. In August 2007 he signed a contract with the Tunisian top club Espérance Tunis , which, however, dissolved the contract on September 11, 2007 after Agu was diagnosed with a serious knee injury. The knee injury temporarily stopped his active career. Agu went back to Nigeria and ran a football fan shop in Lagos . In 2011 he made his comeback for Crown FC in the Nigerian Premier League and scored 8 goals for his club in the 2010/11 season.

International

Agu was a national player for the Nigerian national beach soccer team from 2006 to 2009. In 2007 he played some games for the Nigerian U-23 men's national team in qualifying for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .
