Gabriel Francisco Lisette (born April 2, 1919 in Portobelo , Panama , † March 3, 2001 in Port-de-Lanne , France ) was a politician in Chad .

Gabriel Lisette was of African descent but was born in Panama. He came to Chad in 1946 as the French colonial administrator and founded the Chadian Progressive Party there in 1947 . After his election victory, he was Prime Minister of Chad from 1957 to 1959. Afterwards, this position was taken over by François Tombalbaye , who later became the first president.

One week before Chad's independence, which began on August 11, 1960, Lisette was Deputy Prime Minister. Despite this position, he was refused re-entry after a trip abroad. This ended his career as a politician in Chad and he went into exile in France.
