Gabriel Rodrigues dos Santos called Gabriel (born June 5, 1981 in São Paulo , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player who plays on the right defensive side.

Gabriel began his professional career in 2001 at the traditional Brazilian club, FC São Paulo, where he was under contract for four years. In 2005 Gilberto moved to Fluminense Rio de Janeiro , where he should win two titles and the outstanding rate of 24 goals in 65 games for a defender. In August of the same year Gabriel moved to Europe for the first time to FC Málaga in Spain . After adjustment problems and only 17 missions, Gabriel returned to his home country after only one season. In 2008 he moved to Europe again and signed a four-year contract with the Greek club Panathinaikos Athens .

Gabriel made his debut in the Brazilian national team in 2005. So far, however, he has only played one international match.
