Gabriel Santana Pinto (born January 6, 1990 in Salvador , Bahia ) is a Brazilian soccer player . The right foot is mainly used in attacking midfield.

Career

Gabriel began his career in the youth department of EC Bahia . In 2011, the player also made the leap into the professional squad. On May 13, he played his first game in the Copa do Brasil . He was substituted on in the 70th minute against São Domingos FC . Gabriel played his first game in the Série A on May 22, 2011 against América Mineiro . He scored the first professional goal in the national championship of Bahia on February 8, 2012 against EC Primeiro Passo Vitória da Conquista . At international club level, he made his debut in the Copa Sudamericana 2012 . In the competition he played on August 22nd against São Paulo FC .

At the beginning of the 2013 season, Gabriel moved to Flamengo Rio de Janeiro . Gabriel played his first game for FLA on February 23, 2013 in the State Championship in Rio de Janeiro . In the same competition, Gabriel scored the first hit for FLA. In the game against Audax Rio de Janeiro on March 3, 2013, he scored in the 51st minute for the interim 1: 1 (final score 1: 2). In his first season he was able to win the national cup with the club . Gabriel was used in seven games. He didn't score a goal. On March 22, 2015, he played his 100th game for the club. For the 2018 season, Gabriel was loaned to Sport Recife . At the end of the loan deal, Gabriel did not return to Flamengo. He was loaned to Kashiwa Reysol in Japan until his contract with FLA expired in December 2019 . With this he appeared in the season in 22 games (one goal) for Kashiwa Reysol. In the course of winning the J2 League title , Gabriel played 16 games (one goal). Gabriel made his debut for the club and in the league on February 23, 2019, the first matchday of the 2019 season, in the away game against Renofa Yamaguchi FC .
