Gabriel Soares

Gabriel Soares (born September 5, 1971 in Laleia , Manatuto , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese politician. He is a member of the Congresso Nacional da Reconstrução Timorense (CNRT) party.

Career

Soares holds a teaching degree.

At number 31 on the CNRT's list, Soares failed in the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2017 because the party only won 22 seats.

After the early dissolution of parliament in 2018, Soares took up position 22 in the new elections on May 12 for the Aliança para Mudança e Progresso (AMP), which also includes the CNRT, and entered parliament. There he is a member of the parliamentary commission for education, youth, culture and civil rights (commission G).
