Gabriele Schuster

Gabriele Schuster (born November 1, 1956 in Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm ; † October 30, 2017 ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

Life

After completing her legal training, Gabriele Schuster entered the higher judicial service of the Free State of Bavaria in 1984 . As a probationary judge, she was initially employed at the regional court and later at the Landshut public prosecutor's office. There she was appointed public prosecutor for life in 1988. Two years later she moved to the Landshut Regional Court and worked there as a judge at the Regional Court until 1996. Schuster was then seconded to the Federal Patent Court and appointed judge at the Federal Patent Court in 1997. In 2005, she was seconded to the Federal Court of Justice for two years as a research assistant . After this delegation ended, Ms. Schuster returned to the Federal Patent Court, where she was a member of various senates. Most recently, she headed a nullity senate as presiding judge at the Federal Patent Court. After her election as judge at the Federal Court of Justice, she was assigned to the Xa civil senate, which was temporarily set up as an auxiliary senate, from September 2010 ; from 2011 she was a member of the 10th Civil Senate until her death .

Gabriele Schuster died on October 30, 2017.

Publications

Since the 6th edition (2003), Gabriele Schuster worked as a contributor to the commentary on the patent law founded by Rudolf Busse in 1936 (last 8th edition in 2016). Since 2011 she had also published articles in the journal Reiserecht aktuell (RRa) entitled Current case law of the Federal Court of Justice on passenger transport and travel law (partly together with Helga Kober-Dehm ).
